More than 3000 years ago, God appeared to his people at Mount Sinai in the Arabian wilderness.
The result was a bit surprising. It terrified the people to hear directly from God, and they begged God's prophet to make him stop.
But what if he could speak to us and not terrify us? What if God could truly be himself, and we could be reborn by his words? Then we could be ourselves but without fear of punishment!
That's what Mount Sinai in Montrose is all about. God meets with us here, but he does it in ways that we can embrace without fear. He speaks of forgiveness and life. He uses his Word, baptism and the Lord's Supper. He also blesses us with friendships and human kindness. He makes this plain, broken people his own.
Won't you join us in meeting him?
